On Sunday, March 16th, 2025, a devastating fire ripped through an overcrowded nightclub in the small town of Kochani, North Macedonia. At least 59 people lost their lives, and over 190 others were injured in the chaos of trying to escape the flames during a live concert. Most of the victims were young, their lives tragically cut short by burns, smoke inhalation, and a desperate stampede towards the building's only exit. The sorrow that has gripped Macedonia is unimaginable, and the pain is felt deeply within the hearts of those in the Macedonian diaspora here in the United States.

Our community is devastated by the loss of so many young souls and the hundreds of others now fighting for their lives in hospitals. We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims and all those affected by this horrific tragedy. Though we can never ease the grief, we are committed to offering support in whatever way we can.

To help those still in critical condition, we are raising funds to provide the financial assistance they need. The road to healing will be long, but the strength of our collective efforts can make a difference. Every donation, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated.

All the funds will go to our Macedonian church St Kiril and Metodi located in Willowbrook IL, who is also raising money for the same cause. Together we will ensure that all funds raised will go directly to those in need. Kochani is in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time
