Support Kobe's Fight Against Lymphoma Cancer

Hello everyone!

My name is Angeli Caranto. On behalf of my cousin LeiAnn and her wife KK, I’m sharing this story with you all about their sweet furry son, Kobe the golden retriever.

The 3 golden sibs include Keiki Girl, Dodger Dogg and Kobe Boy. Kobe Boy is the most well-mannered, our water and fan boy, and the protector of the 3 dogs. He lets his siblings drink all the water first, will take the last treat after them, and waits at the door for everyone to pass through first. If you know Kobe, you know he loves to hump his pillow pets (has gone through at least 5 of them), loves to play basketball with his mom KK, and will chase the water from the waterhose or sit in front of the fan/AC at any chance he gets.

On March 19th, Kobe was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. On April 10th, he started chemotherapy (in medication form). Kobe’s initial lab work before starting therapy have already shown progress and improvement. Kobe will have a dose of chemotherapy every 3 weeks for 6 sessions. He is in the best spirits and we are hoping to cross the finish line to remission.

After what was the longest and emotional past 3-4 weeks, we have come to accept Kobe’s diagnosis. Kobe has his supportive siblings, family and moms to get him through this and has a great care team for his medical needs.

My cousins are not ones to ask for help, but are ones to help whenever help is needed. They are some of the most selfless individuals I know. I share this story in hopes of helping to support them during this difficult time, just like they always lovingly do for the people they care about.

We ask everyone to keep Kobe in their prayers. Any contribution to help support Kobe’s treatment would be greatly appreciated. KK and Lei also plan to host fundraising events to support Kobe during this time.
