Woof woof,
My name is Koa Journey, a German Pinscher and I'll be turning 2 years old in March.
About 2 weeks ago, my dad was walking me around the block and kicking the palm tree nuts so I can chase them. Well, it rained the other day and the sidewalk was still wet, when I chased after the nut (one of my favorite things to do), I drifted sideways on all 4 paws. Doing so, I dislocated my back left kneecap.
I've been in pain since then . Mom took me to the doctor and they told her that I need to be seen by the orthopedic doctor for further evaluation. The vet wrapped my leg up in a cast and I've been a pirate ☠️ ever since.
Last Friday, I was seen by the orthopedic doctor and they sedated me to look at my leg. They brought me into the examine room with my mom who was standing by my side crying. My mom felt my knee cap shifting back and forth every time my leg was straightened and bent back. This is not good.
The orthopedic doctor said that I require immediate surgery in order to fix my knee. This will cost my mom and dad a lot of monies that they don't have but will find a way to get this done for me.
The surgery is gonna cost about $3,500 give or take and the rest that is raised will be used for previous medical debt that I have occurred. I would like a ramp too so it will be easier to get on/off the bed safely. My mom said no more monkeys jumping on the bed.
I can't wait to be a puppy again. I want to chase my big sister Okalani around the house. I want to jump, skip, and play with my toys.
If you could spare a few bucks or more to help me get this surgery, I would be forever grateful.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to read about me and my struggle at this time. If you can't donate at this time, please share with your doggie friends.
Woof Woof.
Koa Journey
