Koa is a bright, headstrong, and silly two-year-old who loves monster trucks and dinosaurs. Recently, he was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and his world has changed overnight. Koa is receiving treatment at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI, where he faces weekly chemotherapy sessions for the next two years and three months. The journey has already been challenging—Koa developed tumor lysis after starting chemotherapy, and he now has a PICC line for his treatments, with a port placement coming soon. Despite these hurdles, Koa's resilience shines through as he finds comfort in distractions and the support of those around him.
Koa's parents are navigating this difficult time while living separately, which adds to the emotional and financial strain. His dad had to take two weeks off work during Koa's prolonged hospital stay, making it even harder to keep up with bills and daily expenses. The costs of medical care, travel, and basic needs are quickly adding up. This fundraiser is to help cover Koa's ongoing medical bills, travel for treatment, and support for his family's daily living expenses. Every contribution will help ease the burden and allow Koa's family to focus on his recovery and well-being. Your support means the world to Koa and everyone who loves him.
