It has been a tough few months of accepting that Knox has Tethered Cord Syndrome. It's an extremely rare neurological condition that will continue to progress, causing severe nerve damage and motor impairments. Surgery is necessary to alleviate the pressure on the spinal cord. Without surgery, Knox will continue to have difficulty walking and eventually will become paralyzed. We are currently managing with medication to ease some of his pain while we save for surgery. The cost of the surgery is estimated to be $8500, and this doesn't include travel to the limited vets available to perform the surgery or treatments that may follow. I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for Knox. Over the last year and a half, his signs of serious discomfort—limping, trouble walking, and pain have been steadily increasing. After multiple vet visits and tests, Knox's doctors let me know that an MRI is the only way to get a clear diagnosis and understand what’s causing his pain. Unfortunately, the cost of the MRI is beyond what we can afford right now.

Anyone who knows Knox knows he’s a loved member of the family (he my baby). He’s full of love, energy, and loyalty, and it breaks my heart to see him struggling. The MRI will allow me to find out if he has a treatable condition, and I'm hoping for the chance to help him live a pain-free and happy life.

The cost of the MRI is estimated to be $5000, and this doesn't include potential surgery or treatments that may follow. I know times are tough for everyone, but any amount you can contribute would mean the world to me and will help Knox get the care he desperately needs.
