I am a non-binary trans masc, multidisciplinary artist living in Austin, Texas. I am raising funds to have top surgery, hopefully this summer.

I imagine everyone’s relationship with their body is complicated. Mine has been largely centered around gender dysphoria for most of my life. Through therapy, community, love, and friendships, I’ve been finding more and more ways to love and be comfortable in my body, and I am at a point where top surgery is the necessary next step for me.

My insurance specifically excludes gender-affirming care, so I’ll have to pay out of pocket for the surgeon fees, surgery center, and anesthesiologist. I was quoted $6k for the surgeon and given an estimate of an additional $2-4k for the facility fees and anesthesiologist. I am asking for $10,000 to cover the surgery and any additional medical fees like blood testing due to my family history. Anything left over I will donate to someone else’s campaign!
