Since his injury, KJ has faced unimaginable challenges with a resilience and warmth that are nothing short of inspiring. Despite the severity of his condition and the emotional toll it has taken, KJ continues to greet each day with kindness, curiosity, and an unwavering concern

for others. He asks about your day, makes space for laughter, and brings a sense of light to everyone who enters his room. He is thoughtful, adventurous, and deeply empathetic— qualities that have only become more evident in the face of adversity.

His family has been a constant and loving presence at his bedside, often making significant sacrifices to ensure he receives the best care possible. KJ's mother has remained in Memphis to support his recovery, while his stepfather has worked to sustain the household. Unfortunately, the financial burden of traveling to out-of-state rehabilitation in St. Louis and trying to maintain basic needs has become overwhelming. They have lost their transportation due to inability to make payments, adding even more strain to an already

difficult situation.
