The Kiwafu Lions were founded in 2014 by Paul Dronyi with the objective of supporting the local community and bringing people together through football.
Their goal is to build an academy and develop young players who can go on to play in the Uganda Super League and beyond. They currently have teams representing ages 10 and upwards with the Seniors playing in the Ugandan 4th Division.
To stand out from the crowd, the Kiwafu Lions play in the iconic green and white hoops of Celtic FC and already enjoy links with supporters who have been sending old kits for a number of years.
Uganda has been badly affected by Covid-19 with strict government measures to prevent the spread resulting in many people being unable to work, causing funding issues for the team.

Schools have been shut for nearly two years which means the outlet for the local children provided by football is all that more important.
Paul, the Lions and local community would gratefully receive any one-off or ongoing donations so they can continue to operate.
