Hi everyone—

As most of you know, my grandma lost the love of her life this past Tuesday morning, which has brought a lot of unexpected costs as this all happened so quickly. Jim did not have life insurance, meaning my grandma is paying for everything out of pocket. If you know Kitty, she never asks for help, but she is in a time of need. She is alone in California now, and we are fast-tracking her move back here to Minnesota. My mom (Heather) and I (Taylor) are traveling there to help get things in order and pack her belongings, but moving across the country is also very expensive. Jim (Grandpa) got sick 2 weeks ago and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and dementia. He recovered fairly well, and they were able to reduce the fluid around his heart. He was then sent to a rehab facility and got to go home on Sunday, 4/13/2025, passing away Tuesday morning, 4/15/2025.
