Hi, I'm Kirstie, or known as Kristie. My family and I went through a tragedy; we were in a fire back in September, and I have since struggled to get back on my feet. My entire apartment burned down due to an electrical issue that started in the bedroom while I was playing with my grandkids. My grandson was in the room when the fire started. He is okay, and we were able to get out in time but lost everything except the clothes on our backs. We are grateful for our lives but have struggled to get help with bills and replacing items that we need.

I have contacted Georgia Power for assistance with lowering my bill since I wasn't there the whole month of September after the fire, and they declined to help me. I was told I would get another apartment, but they went back on their word, so I was forced to stay in a hotel. I've tried everything with Macon assistance and was turned down as well; I did receive assistance from the Red Cross. If you can spare anything, we would be so grateful. Thank you.
