If you know Kirsten Patterson, you know she is one of those rare people who leads with kindness. She is thoughtful, caring, and always putting others before herself. She’s the person who checks in, shows up, and gives without ever expecting anything in return. Asking for help does not come easily to her but right now, she needs it.

On January 30, Kirsten, is scheduled to undergo a life changing spine surgery with Dr. Ament at the Neurosurgery Spine Group (NSG) in California. After living with chronic spine pain that has slowly taken pieces of her life away, she finally has hope.

Instead of a traditional spinal fusion, her surgeon recommended a cutting edge artificial disc replacement. A procedure designed to preserve movement, restore mobility, and dramatically improve quality of life. This approach offers her something she hasn’t had in a long time: the chance to move without constant pain and fear.

Unfortunately, because this procedure is considered advanced and innovative, insurance does not cover any portion of the cost. The out of pocket expenses are overwhelming, and no one should have to choose between financial hardship and the ability to live without pain.

This surgery means more than just medical relief. It means being able to move freely again, living without constant pain, regaining independence, and getting back to the life she loves.
