Hi everyone! My name is Kirsten Andresen, and I’m incredibly excited (and humbled) to be representing my community as a delegate for Miss Universe Canada 2025. As a recent Biomedical Engineering graduate, a passionate volunteer, and a creative soul with dreams of becoming a neurosurgeon, this opportunity represents more than just a crown—it’s a platform to inspire, uplift, and drive real change.

But this journey doesn’t happen alone. Competing at this level requires significant personal investment—travel, training, wardrobe, coaching, and platform development all come with costs. That’s why I’m reaching out with this GoFundMe: to ask for your help in making this dream a reality.

Why I’m Competing

Miss Universe Canada is more than a pageant. It’s a movement that champions intelligence, compassion, creativity, and service—values I’ve lived by both in and out of the lab. Whether it’s:

• conducting AI research to improve stroke care,

• designing brain–computer interface technology,

• volunteering in Peru and my local library,

• or expressing myself through fashion, music, and content creation, I’m committed to using every opportunity to make a difference.

This competition allows me to share my story, advocate for mental and neurological health, and hopefully inspire other young women to boldly blend STEM, service, and self-expression.
