UPDATE: Kira had her surgery today on 6/18, and it was a less expensive than estimated! With that, I have updated the goal and the photos to show Kira's invoice ($934.60) and the new accurate total of $1,980.49 for both cats.

Mutual Aid Request for Kira & Little One
In February, I moved to escape toxic roommates and a scary ex, and I had been looking forward to restarting my life in a new apartment and getting my finances on track. Jokes' on me because, in March, I lost my job. However, since then, I've been trying to stay positive. I've been focusing on starting my own business, and I've been trying take care of my mental health and financial safety. I had a little safety net, but I was only prepared to handle so many emergencies: moving expenses, losing a job, car trouble, some vet bills.
But both of my cats, Kira & Little One, need dental surgery:
- Kira has always had bad teeth, and she barely has any teeth left.
- Little One has degenerative tooth disease. I didn't know that until recently--when I came home and saw a tooth hanging out of her mouth!
Surgery for each cat is over $1,000. Little One, I took care of in mid-April as soon as her snaggletooth got knocked out. Kira, I've been postponing due to finances but is scheduled for mid-June. I've attached images of Little One's bill ($1,045.89) and Kira's estimate ($1,137.66-$1,295.16).
I've been trying to work as hard as possible to not ask for help, but I'm finally at the point where I need it. I'm not trying to ask for anything for me, but I'm hoping you'll help support my cats' health and wellbeing through their dental surgeries. I'm grateful for friends who have already helped me raise some money ($560!), so my current goal is $1,781 to cover the rest of the vet bills.
