We had such high hopes for our Giving Tuesday fundraiser.
Our goal was simple: raise $6,000 so we could pay down outstanding medical debts and continue caring for the dogs currently in rescue. We weren’t asking for anything extravagant—just enough to keep our doors open a little longer and make sure every dog under our roof had what they needed.
Unfortunately, we didn’t come close.
We didn’t reach $6,000…
We didn’t even reach $500.
I know better than anyone how financially hard things are right now for so many families. But the reality is this: Kiowa’s House cannot continue operating like this. Going into 2026, we are facing the heartbreaking truth that this rescue—the place built in Kiowa’s honor, the place that has saved countless lives—may become nothing more than a memory.
I have poured everything into this rescue. Every dollar, every ounce of strength, every late night, every emergency run, every heartbreak, every miracle. Would I do it again? Absolutely. The lives we’ve saved will forever be worth it.
But passion alone can’t keep the lights on. Love alone can’t pay a vet bill. And one person—no matter how hard they fight—cannot carry the load of an entire rescue on their back forever.
Maybe we’re not big enough.
Maybe we’re not loud enough.
Maybe we don’t point fingers or create drama to get attention.
Maybe that means our efforts don’t get seen the way others do. I honestly don’t know.
But what I do know is this: whatever the reason, it has finally caught up to us.
We do not want to say goodbye.
Too many dogs need us. Too many families rely on us. Too many lives hang in the balance.
So today, we are asking—one last time—for your help to keep Kiowa’s House going.
If our rescue has ever touched your heart…
If you’ve adopted from us, fostered for us, supported us, or simply followed our journey…
If you believe in the work we do…
Please donate. Share. Speak up for us. Help us continue saving lives.
This is our last plea to keep the doors open.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for every ounce of support, love, and belief you’ve given us so far. We’re hoping, praying, and fighting for a miracle.
