Our daughter Kinsley is facing surgery on her right femur this Friday, and our family is doing everything we can to support her through this difficult time. For the past four years, Kinsley has been living with hypophosphatasia, a rare condition that has led to repeated bone breaks and ongoing pain. Despite her bubbly and outgoing personality, it’s been heartbreaking to watch her struggle with fear and discomfort, especially as we prepare for this major procedure.

The journey to get Kinsley the care she needs has been long and challenging. We’ve spent hundreds of dollars on gas alone, driving two hours each way to see specialists. There have been countless X-rays, an MRI, and overnight stays for early morning appointments. The financial strain has been significant, with travel costs, lost income from missed work, and the uncertainty of upcoming medical bills all adding up quickly.

Kinsley is scared and worried about what’s ahead, and it’s hard for all of us to see her in pain. Our greatest hope is that this surgery will bring her relief and allow her to return to the happy, energetic child she’s always been.
