Support Kinsley's Prosthetic Journey

Kinsley is a sweet, funny and smart 11 month old.

When she was 20 weeks gestation her parents learned she was missing her lower left arm and hand due to an amniotic band that attached in early pregnancy. While this was a lot for them to process they were determined to do anything and everything for her to succeed.

She has fought to keep up with her milestones, along with her parents, sister, grandparents, family friends and therapists. Kinsley has learned many tasks and ways to accommodate and accomplish her goals.

Kinsley is currently waiting for her first passive prosthetic to allow her to improve her balance and meet more milestones such as walking. While she has mastered many tasks already she is needing the symmetry of two equal limbs to maintain equal strength and balance.

Due to quick growing, Kinsley will need to have multiple prostheses throughout her life and even with insurance these will cost at minimum $500. The doctors estimate with her fast growing she will need a new custom prosthetic at least 3 times a year until she is fully matured.

At 5 months old Kinsley needed to use a doc band molding helmet to help fix mild torticolis along with reshaping her skull that became misshaped due to not being able to do tummy time because of her shortened limb. Her helmets roughly cost $800.
