Support Kinsey's Battle with Moyamoya Disease

Please help Kinsey and her family as she courageously battles Moyamoya Disease. It was recently discovered that our dear friend Kinsey has stage 3 Moyamoya, a rare, progressive cerebrovascular disorder that affects the arteries in the brain. While Moyamoya is not curable, life-saving brain surgery is critical to reduce the risk of stroke and further progression of the disease. On April 21st, Kinsey will undergo both direct and indirect revascularization surgery with a specialized neurosurgeon in California. Kinsey is an otherwise healthy 27-year-old mother of two young children, Cohen (5) and Palmer (3). She has dedicated her life to caring for others as an ICU nurse. In her very first year of nursing, she received the DAISY Award for her extraordinary compassion and care for patients and their families, a true reflection of the heart she brings to everything she does. Now, she needs that same care and support surrounding her. This surgery requires her to travel out of state and remain there for a minimum of two weeks post-operation for monitoring and recovery. She will also be out of work on partial disability for at least two months while she focuses on healing. During this time, her boyfriend McCall will be balancing caring for their children and supporting Kinsey through recovery. We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden of medical expenses not covered by insurance, travel and temporary housing in California, lost income during recovery, and everyday expenses for their young family. Kinsey has spent her career showing up for others in their most vulnerable moments. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. If you feel led, please consider donating, sharing this page, and most importantly, keeping Kinsey and her family in your prayers. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.
