Jordan & Kinsee McKenzie + their sweet newborn Maisie Jane.

Kinsee delivered Maisie Jane at 31 weeks. Kinsee graduated from nursing school in May (in Georgia). She and Jordan moved back to Jackson, both starting new jobs. Kinsee recently began her career as a nurse in the postpartum wing of JMCGH. Since neither of them have been at their jobs for a year, they have no paid time off. Kinsee was planning on utilizing short-term disability for her maternity leave; however, since she has delivered so early, she is no longer eligible.

While Jordan is still working as much as possible, Maisie will be in the NICU for the foreseeable future and her parents will need to be with her there.

Every mother deserves a maternity leave to focus on bonding with her baby. Kinsee will need an even longer leave than expected before Maisie is ready to start daycare. They will still have all their regular bills, hospital bills, plus the added expenses of living part-time at the hospital and transportation.

This whole experience has been very stressful for them. We would love to at least ease the financial burden for these brand new parents. Please give as you feel led, anything is so helpful.
