Kinnli Wilde is a beautiful, strong, active 15-year-old. She loves to play volleyball for her high school team and club volleyball, and loves being outside with her animals and in her garden. Recently, Kinnli had a tragic accident while working out at the gym lifting weights. Her legs went numb and she went down. Her first CT scan showed us a break in her spine at the T-10 vertebrae and her spinal cord was pinched in the break. Kinnli was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital immediately and the trauma team was waiting for her. Her surgery lasted around 5 hours as they decompressed her spine and stabilized it with 2 metal rods and lots of screws. Her spinal cord was very damaged and had a large blood clot.
She is currently in the PICU and they are trying to promote blood flow and oxygen to her spinal cord in hopes to promote healing.
Currently, she is still experiencing paralysis in her lower half. Kinnli has a long road of hospital stays and in-house rehabilitation ahead of her. We are praying and are ng for miracles and help with her extensive medical bills and rehab coming up.
