Support Kinna's Healing After Unprovoked Assault

UPDATE: Kinna has finally had her surgery! She had to have THREE plates placed to reconstruct her face. The largest of which had

to be placed through her mouth to minimize scarring to her face. Out of pocket, she has already had to spend thousands and is unable to work or drive. Please consider donating to help Kinna as she overcomes another hurdle to start healing

On Friday night during STS9 at Resonate Suwannee, Kinna suffered MULTIPLE facial fractures and a concussion when a man sucker punched her for *accidentally* bumping his wife with a flow toy. Kinna could have been any one of us....enjoying the magic of Resonate and STS9 only to be violently assaulted over an accident and end up in the hospital.

All witnesses to the assault agree that it was completely unprovoked and a disgusting act of violence. Kinna is going to need extensive medical care due to fractures to her orbital floor, zygomatic arch, and cheek. These are incredibly serious injuries that will require surgery.

If you've ever been to Resonate, Suwannee, or an STS9 show you know that this is a community that is brimming with love, magic, and empathy. The fact that this person stole that magic from Kinna and did this to her is heart breaking. Hopefully we can shower her with love, healing, and whatever funds needed to fight the medical, legal, and emotional battle that she now has to endure.

Law enforcement has the man in custody (UPDATE 5/25: He is out pending trial) and he has been charged with aggravated battery. Our job is to take care of Kinna and do whatever we can to help her feel safe, loved, and cared for. Please consider helping her and doing what this community does best - taking care of each other
