My name is Kingston and I am a 2nd-year Mandarin Chinese student with a strong passion for language and culture. In the summer of 2026, I have been given the incredible opportunity to travel to Asia to further my studies, practice my Mandarin in real-life settings, and immerse myself in the traditions and daily life that I’ve only read about in textbooks.

This trip represents more than just travel—it’s a chance for me to connect what I’ve learned in the classroom to real-world experiences. By exploring Asian culture firsthand, I will strengthen my language skills, build a deeper cultural understanding, and gain inspiration that I will carry with me for years to come in school and beyond.
