Help the Kingswood Jedi’s Strike Back! ⚽️
In a moment of pure madness I decided to become a football coach… so my 6-year-old grandson and his mates could join a team.
That team is now the Kingswood Jedi’s—small in size, big on energy, and slightly obsessed with sliding tackles and end of game brownies!
Last week, they played their first ever game—and it was epic! Chaos? A little. Hilarious? Absolutely. Brilliant to watch? Without a doubt.
But now we need your help. As a brand-new team, we’re trying to raise £400 to get them started—footballs, bibs, cones, and maybe even another pair of socks each if we really push the budget.
To raise the funds, I’ve very questionably agreed to take on a 16-HOUR run/walk challenge on 25th October 2025, from 6am to 9pm.
And not just anywhere… I’ll be taking on this feat across the Humber Bridge, over and over again, like a slightly confused marathoner with no sense of direction.
It’s going to be long. It’s going to be painful. It’s probably going to involve a lot of snacks and deep regrets by hour three. But it’s for the kids—and some of the brave (possibly delusional) parents are even joining me.
So if you’ve ever laughed at a kid doing cartwheels during a match or watched a 6-year-old celebrate a goal like they’ve just won the Champions League, please consider chucking a few quid our way.
Every donation—no matter how small—will help the Kingswood Jedi’s become the footballing force they were born to be.
Thanks for your support (and wish my knees luck as they cross the Humber again... and again... and again)!
