Help Kingsley Heal After Open-Heart Surgery

Hi, I'm Kingsley, a brave 4-year-old boy. I was born with a rare congenital heart defect called Ebstein’s anomaly, a condition that affects the tricuspid valve in my heart. From the very beginning, my heart has had to work much harder than it should. While other babies were growing and thriving, I was already fighting battles no child should have to face.

Recently, I had to undergo open-heart surgery in order to survive. During one of my surgeries, doctors had to place a pacemaker to help regulate my heart rhythm and keep it beating properly. Watching our tiny 4-year-old be wheeled into surgery was one of the most terrifying moments of our lives — but we held onto hope, faith, and the incredible medical team caring for me.

The surgery was successful, but my journey is far from over. I am now in recovery, learning how to heal with a pacemaker and a heart that has been through so much. My days are filled with medications, doctor visits, monitoring, and careful limitations while my body recovers. Yet despite everything, I still smile, laugh, and show a strength that amazes everyone around me.

Along with the emotional toll, the financial burden has been overwhelming. Between hospital stays, surgery, specialists, medications, medical equipment, travel, and time off work to care for me, the expenses have quickly become more than we can manage on our own.
