My name is Kingsley Brown. Life can throw you so many curveballs and I must admit that I haven’t been able to avoid being relentlessly bombarded with my unfairly share. I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis also known as ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease. My health has been in a constant rapid decline due to this illness; to say am bewildered would be a complete understatement. This disease has incapacitated me, it has impacted my entire being physically, emotionally, psychologically and mentally. I’ve completely lost the ability to care for myself and is now wholly dependent and relying on others. It is during this trying time when you truly see who is there for you and vows are tested. As my illness rapidly progressed and my health deteriorates at a fast pace the challenges and curveballs persist. Honestly speaking it’s practically impossible for me to simply focus on my health and wellbeing because of the insurmountable burden and worries about medical bills and lack of funds. I am asking that you find it in your heart to donate and help me attain adequate health care in order to continue my fight against ALS, see my children grow; be there for them and live a meaningful life.
