whats good ya’ll,
If you believe in my mission, I need you more than ever. Even though I’ve gained so much support and love, I still feel like I’m not doing enough.
I’m Ronnie McKenzie, better known as King Ron. Since 2019, I’ve dedicated my platform to spreading deaf awareness and breaking communication barriers so no deaf, nonverbal autistic kids feel left out or isolated. Over the years, I’ve grown into a content creator, sharing my life, experiences, and advocacy with all of you.
This Deaf Awareness Month, I had so many plans to create content, resources, and even drop my first children’s book that highlights deaf culture and inclusion. But life hit hard. I lost my brother recently, and it shook me deeply. The love and support from you all has meant the world, but my mental health has been affected, and it’s impacted my work and financial stability facing my brothers death.
I’m asking for your help to fund and continue the projects I had planned this month, including finishing my book, creating awareness content, and supporting both deaf and mental health communities. Every donation, big or small, helps me keep this mission alive and makes a real difference.
Thank you for standing with me, for supporting deaf awareness, and for helping me continue advocating for mental health.
These funds will help bring my children’s book to life, a book created specifically for Deaf, autistic, and nonverbal kids who are often overlooked and left out. This book is meant to help them feel seen, understood, and proud of how they communicate while learning American Sign Language in a way that’s joyful and empowering.
Funds will also support the creation of YouTube content for both children and adults who want to learn ASL but don’t know where to start or have never had access to inclusive learning resources. Through these videos, my goal is to break communication barriers, build confidence, and create a space where learning ASL feels welcoming, human, and possible for everyone.
With love and gratitude,
Ronnie “King Ron” McKenzie
