If you are reading this now, this is intentional. Nothing in Kimyatta’s life is accidental. Even in this new challenge in her life, she knows there is a lesson and opportunity for her. You are looking at this page because YOU were meant to be part of this journey with her.
Kimyatta was recently diagnosed with cancer, specifically invasive carcinoma. She is a mother of two and runs her own business (Skin Within, Oakland) as the CEO and only employee.
“I’m not a survivor, I’m a conqueror.” - Kimyatta
Life challenges and obstacles, such as this one, would take most people out. But this is nothing new to Kimyatta. Growing up with mother who suffered from drug addiction, she raised herself and left home at 15. Regardless of her complicated relationship with her mother, losing her mother a decade ago to cancer was a major blow for Kimyatta.
“I’m not fighting anything. I’ve already won.” - Kimyatta
You can be a part of her win.
Kimyatta will be starting surgery and treatment on January 21, 2026 and will be out of work at the business she owns for several months while she heals. She will need to pay no less than $20K in medical bills, on top of paying for her rent for her home and business, all while supporting a daughter in college and another in high school.
Hundreds of people love Kimyatta because she is a miracle worker with skin and leaves everyone she encounters feeling refreshed - not just because of dewy skin, but because she feeds the spirit. She also literally feeds people, because she has compassion for homeless folks, having dealt with housing instability in her youth. She is not just your average business owner, but a hero and a healer. She is a skilled aesthetician, and informally, the best therapist on the planet. So please, donate what you can, and if you can’t, please help spread the word! You were chosen for this!
