My name is Nicole, and I have the honor of requesting your support for my beautiful, strong, ferociously loving friend and coworker, Kim.
On Sunday, November 30th, Kim was in a horrible accident that she is lucky to have survived. The accident totaled her car and left her with an unstable cervical spine fracture, requiring surgery for a posterior cervical fusion. Now, she faces two to three months out of work for recovery while she undergoes intensive physical therapy.
If you have had the absolute pleasure of working with Kim, you know that she is a firebrand when it comes to her work. She is passionate about doing her job and doing it well, she is patient and kind when she's helping a coworker learn a new skill, and she builds up the people around her with positive encouragement. She is also passionate about providing for her daughter, Khaliya, who is the center of her world.
To know Kim is to love her. Some people are described as lighting up every room she walks into, and I can't think of anyone that describes more than Kim. She is a radiant light to every person lucky enough to cross her path. Her effervescence and enthusiasm for life are contagious, and it's impossible to see her and not smile. But right now she is facing the grim financial reality of being out of work, losing her car, and amassing medical debt from her hospitalization and surgery.
Kim is so generous with her time and her affection, and I know she has a large community of people who love her. Please consider helping her feel held through this time with your prayers, encouragement, and, if you are able, a donation to help her get back on her feet. No amount is too small; with the community she has, I know every little bit will add up to help Kim immensely.
