I was diagnosed with iliac artery issues, likely caused by a car accident in the 1980s that crushed my arteries with a lap seatbelt. In my late 50s, I needed stents, and every three years, they had to be replaced. In November 2025, I underwent another procedure, and then in December 2025, I was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer. The news was devastating, and I found myself thinking, 'Seriously?' I moved forward with biopsies, a lumpectomy, and then three weeks of radiation, five days a week. Watching my body and mind change was incredibly hard, and my energy levels dropped. But I am getting through it, even as the visual changes from surgery are difficult to accept. I remind myself every day that I am still beautiful inside and out, even when it’s hard to believe. I choose to prevail and move forward, but financially, it’s not so easy. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are becoming overwhelming. I am not the type of person to ask for help—I’ve always tried to be humble and independent—but this is the time I need to reach out. I am humbly asking for your support through this fundraiser. Anything you can give will help me cover medical bills and continue my journey to recovery. I am grateful for any encouragement or help you can offer as I move forward. Thank you for being part of my support system and for helping me through this challenging time.
