AKA: Fighting cancer is expensive, y’all!

We’re reaching out to you today on behalf of our friend Kim Tarter. She recently received devastating news that she has Stage 3 IDC breast cancer and has started a very aggressive treatment that includes chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and endocrine therapy. As you can imagine, this news has turned her world upside down.

She’s facing a tough journey ahead but is determined to beat this thing.  Although health insurance has been extremely helpful, all of the other additional expenses that go along with treating cancer, that aren’t covered by insurance, quickly add up.  The financial burden is overwhelming.

We’ve started a GoFundMe to help ease Kim’s financial stress and any contribution, big or small, will help alleviate the burden of the many expenses and let her focus on what matters most: healing. The donations will cover: insurance out-of-pocket costs, out-of-network care, over-the-counter medications and supplies, chemotherapy/surgery/radiation recovery supplies.
