Support Kim's Fight Against Melanoma
$39,316 raised of
Kim DeVerna is a beloved mom, wife, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend. She is a source of strength and hope and light to so many.
She is a flower gardener, educator, toy maker, and joy giver. Wherever she goes, she spreads love and kindness, and right now, she is facing one of the toughest battles of her life -- an aggressive form of melanoma.
As anyone who knows Kim can attest, she always shows up for others with compassion, resilience, and unwavering support.
Now, she needs us to rally around her in the same way.
Kim's story
In late May, 2026, Kim was hospitalized with a large mass, which was later diagnosed as a particularly aggressive form of melanoma. Kim's doctors are still learning a lot about her status, and will continue to update the treatment plan as we learn more -- we will be sure to update this page as we move along.
How you can help
Kim's oncology team has recommended systemic treatment, which currently offers the best chance of effectively fighting this type of cancer. While it provides hope and a promising path forward, it also comes at a high cost. The financial burden of ongoing care, medications, and related expenses is overwhelming, even with insurance.
We are asking for your help to ease that burden so Kim can focus on what matters most: healing and spending time with her loved ones.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward her medical expenses and treatment.
If you are unable to give, sharing this page and keeping Kim in your thoughts means more than you know.
Message of Hope
Receiving a cancer diagnosis is something no one ever wants to hear. It is terrifying, shocking, and anxiety-inducing to say the least.
But we are not without hope. We know Kim will fight and beat this dragon that's come upon her. We believe in the power of community and love. And along with donations, your thoughts, prayers, kindness, and love are immeasurably important on the road to recovery.
Across family, friends, and community members, we are blessed to have a strong support network. And we are grateful to include you among those rooting for Kim and helping her in this battle in whatever capacity you are able.
So, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
