Kim and her family are our dear friends, and they are facing an unimaginable challenge. Both Kim and her husband are battling cancer at the same time, with Kim’s diagnosis being especially severe. She is currently unable to use the left side of her upper body and is experiencing effects on her memory and processing due to a brain tumor. Their young children, Mason and Makayla—who love nature, animals, and bring so much joy—are trying to navigate this difficult journey alongside their parents.
