Let me introduce myself!

My name is Kimberly Roberson, owner of my pride and joy and long-life dreams with my late father, “Kim’s Diner”, a mom-and-pop restaurant that serves amazing breakfast, plate lunches, burgers, fish, and so much more!

I have been leasing the building we are currently at for more than 3 years, and just a little over a week ago, it came to my attention that my landlord will soon be selling the property. But he has given me the first option to buy. I’m no longer under a lease, and as anyone else would, I’ve lost a lot of sleep and my mind has been racing. I’m not a woman of shame, and I’ll admit I’m young and don’t have good credit, so getting a bank loan would be very hard! Plus, the building is old (making it even harder to get a loan).

I have a little time as I don’t have to have money instantly. We did a fundraiser at the diner today and did really good! I have had tons of people preach to me about starting a GoFundMe page, and I really didn’t want to because I’m a woman that wants to earn what she has. But not everyone of the people that has followed my journey has the means to stop by and grab a bite to eat in exchange for a donation, live in my town, or simply wants to give back to a small diner that does so much for the community❤️.

Kim’s Diner has won Owensboro Burger Week People’s Choice Award for the last 2 years back to back! We just received an award for Owensboro Living Gold Award for Best Breakfast and many more!

My dreams finally came true in 2022, and I won’t let it end here! I’m a woman that prays a lot, and I know my God will help me stay successful!

This is just a little bump in the road, but with faith, we will come out on top!

Sunday, May 11th, Mother’s Day, I would love to thank everyone that has helped in any type of way to stop by the diner located at 1212 East 18th Street, Owensboro, KY, and pick up a FREE burger and chips (1 per person) while supplies last from 12 pm till 2 pm this way I feel like I’m working for what I’m receiving!

All money received will be put towards buying the restaurant/land and upgrading our little old building! The outside and inside might not be prettiest or fanciest BUT THE LOVE WITHIN THE BUILDING AND THE FOOD IS WORTH IT ALL
