We are reaching out to you today to share the story of our dear Kimberly Sites from Jonestown, Pennsylvania. Recently, Kim received the diagnosis of Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. This news has turned her world upside down, and she is now undergoing biweekly chemotherapy treatments to combat this aggressive disease.

Kim's journey began with the discovery of an enlarged lymph node on her neck. After a biopsy, the results confirmed our worst fears: it was cancerous. As if this wasn't enough, Kim started experiencing numbness in her fingertips, the roof of her mouth, face, and the right side of her body. This led her doctors to suspect a rare complication—a potential involvement of the central nervous system (CNS) in her lymphoma. Despite the very low probability of 0.2% for Hodgkin's Lymphoma to spread to the CNS, further investigation is crucial.

To get the specialized care she needs, Kim has been accepted into the renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New Jersey. They specialize in over 400 types of cancer, including those affecting the CNS. Here, Kim will undergo a brain biopsy to determine if cancer has spread to her central nervous system.

As you can imagine, this journey is not only emotionally and physically draining but also financially overwhelming. Kim’s fiancé, Bill, has become her primary caregiver. He must take time off work, including three days after each chemotherapy session, to support and care for her. Additionally, he will need to take more time off for Kim’s numerous medical appointments, including the upcoming brain biopsy.
