Family and friends: Kimo and I are humbly asking for your help. It’s been a whirlwind month with what started as an ER visit because Kimo didn’t feel right-and he listened to his instincts. A very dedicated ER doctor located a mass on Kimos thyroid. Fast forward several weeks and the biopsy came back as cancer. We were super blessed with the miracle of next day surgery to remove the mass as well as the Thyroid. The surgeon is confident he was able to get everything on this initial surgery and we are moving forward with healing and a busy upcoming schedule of follow ups and oncology (just to be sure it’s gone). Kimos recovery is going to be a couple more weeks at least as he regains strength and heals. He has medical insurance with a high deductible and unknown incoming medical expenses. We are asking for any help you can provide so that we can keep moving forward.
