Support Kimchi's Recovery from Herniated Disc
Donation protected
Help me raise medical funds for my mini poodle with a herniated disc named Kimchi. 3 weeks ago, he got a hernia while playing outside with my 1-year-old daughter. There was an incident causing him to be unable to move the rest of his body from the waist down. I am a stay-at-home mom of a 1-year-old. My husband works often and I’m at home with the baby most days. I took Kimchi to the ER, and they said that we needed to pay $15,000 out of pocket to get an MRI scan. The scan will help them determine how to effectively treat his herniated disc. He's been like this for weeks now. He's depressed because he isn't able to play or be as active as he used to. He cries every single night because he’s in so much pain and he's currently facing even more health consequences like being unable to poop without stimulation, as well as urinary dysfunction. We were told to wait out a couple of weeks to see if he recovers on his own, but we have noticed his living conditions getting worse. Any help, big or small, will be truly appreciated as we work toward Kimchi’s recovery. As a stay-at-home mom, I have so much faith in my dog's ability to heal, and your support, whether through donations or kind words, would mean the world to us during this difficult time. Please share this post with anyone who might be able to help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. With gratitude, the Pascual and Belches family.
Update: I took Kimchi to the vet today, 3/31/25. The vet said he still has feeling in his paws, so there is a chance he will recover on his own. She told me he needs cage rest and that he may not require any surgery to be able to walk again. I’m incredibly thankful to everyone who donated. I will use the funds for his medications, physical therapy, and other necessities to support his recovery. I honestly wouldn’t know what to do without all of you. Thank you again for donating so quickly, within 24 hours of my post. I’ll continue to share updates on Kimchi’s progress.
