My name is Kimber, I am the mother of 3 beautiful children, a cancer fighter/survivor, a teacher, a friend, a daughter and a sister… but I am also a student, working towards my Master's Degree in Education, with an emphasis on Social Emotional Learning. I originally thought I was approved for a scholarship, so I signed on the dotted line, excited for this journey, but then just recently realized I misunderstood and it wasn’t a scholarship but rather a tuition discount,

Under normal circumstances, this wouldn’t be a problem, but in the last 2 years, I battled cancer, which has left me and my family with a significant amount of medical debt that requires monthly payments that wipe out any extra funds.

I am, however, a special education teacher, so I was able to take part in a reduced tuition rate (what I originally thought was a full scholarship), and from what I’ve figured, I can afford approximately half of my payments each month.

I'm hoping (but not expecting) to raise a bit of funds to help me pay the remainder of tuition .. 20 people who would sponsor $100 just one time, or 40 people who could do $50 just once.. or even just a few close friends who have an extra dollar.. I’m only apx $2,000 short and that would take care of my next 12 months of schooling to finish out my degree (I can afford the remainder of my payments).

But truthfully, any little bit will help keep me in school just a bit longer. I’m working 2 jobs and putting forth everything I can to make this dream come true. I understand it’s no one else’s problem, but I thought if someone understood, or knew it may be a make or break for me continuing my education at this time, that maybe they’d WANT to help. Again, it’s not expected. I know everyone struggles, and please only donate if you’re TRULY in a place you can.

I just feel like I can’t give up now… cancer tried to take me, and I fought back… but there are residual financial effects that it’s had on me and my family. I SO MUCH appreciative of any and all help.
