Support Kimber's Celebration of Life

Hello, we are the Poindexter family.

Many of you have followed us over the past 8 years and the story of our daughter, Kimber Poindexter.

She unfortunately lost her battle to cancer on January 26th, 2025.

We are looking to cover the cost of her celebration of life. The cost of that will be around $5,000, which is what we are primarily trying to raise. This will cover the cost of the urn, music, food, and venue where her celebration will be held.

Now, I know the goal is set much higher than that. Why, you may be wondering?

Well, the truth is we have always been transparent through this journey, and what you are looking at is that transparency.

As a family, we have incurred a huge amount of debt through this almost decade-long journey. We haven't always been the best at asking for help, but I am completely at my community's mercy. We aren't expecting anything from anyone, but people always ask, "How are we doing?" So this is the answer to that. We are a hardworking family that deserves a second chance at life. We will just return to work and pay down the debt ourselves over time, but if given the opportunity to take some of that work out to spend more time with each other by asking for help, we are going to do that. You all have been a huge help in the journey already; that's what makes it difficult to write this, knowing how many of you have already been there for us. That is also what drives me to type this. Knowing that if I don't ask, I won't get the help.

As Kimber's parents, this is the hardest thing we will ever have been through. Believe me, when I ask for this help, it is out of the complete humbleness of my heart.
