Support Kimberly Javier & ‘ohana

Aloha to the loved ones of Kimberly Javier. This friend of mine knows how to BE a friend. She is also an amazing mom, wife, sister, cousin and so much more. Her name is Kimberly and she is truly radiant inside and out. She has two wonderful sons and a loving husband of 24 years named Pito who is a Maui County firefighter. They are really so sweet together. Kimberly is kind, fun, caring, attentive, smart, deep, creative, beautiful and funny. She is also humble, respectful and values her privacy. However, she has graciously allowed me to share some recent developments in her life, and after some urging from quite a few folks, gave me the go-ahead to ask for support on her behalf.

Kimberly has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has had successful surgery in Seattle (surgeons on Maui were too busy to fit her in). It turned out to be a blessing, because the medical center in Seattle was amazing. Unfortunately, post-surgery tests came back as "extremely high-risk" for a reoccurrence. Her medical team has advised her to do 12 weeks of chemotherapy, then follow up with 5 weeks of radiation. That means, going forward, she will need to have treatment on Maui and in Seattle. There's no way of knowing yet how much this will cost, but based on the bills so far, the reality may be daunting. Any and all funds raised will go toward expenses to help uncovered medical and travel expenses.

Here’s a little video compilation with some of their favorite family photos…

Please know, it's not easy for her or husband to put themselves out there. I get it, and would feel the same way in their shoes...but the fact is, Kimberly is one of the MOST-loved people I have ever met, with a diverse array of friends near and far. She is easy to adore, has the most brilliant smile and maintains an incredibly inspiring attitude and perspective on life. If you are fortunate to know her, I'm certain you will want to do SOMEthing to help. So that's where this GoFundMe campaign comes in.

With bills already flooding in, they are learning quickly that their insurance doesn’t cover quite a bit…and treatment has barely begun. Her husband will need to take time off work to help her through the process as well. If there's any amount you're able to give, it WILL help. If money is not possible, that's okay, and please share your uplifting, healing vibes and prayers for Kimberly and her family. If you would be so kind, please pass this page around to help spread the word and gather some much-needed and well-deserved support for this special family.

Mahalo to you all and much LOVE to Kimberly and her ‘ohana! I'm honored to be in their lives and am grateful they permitted me to share this.   Since I set up the page, you’ll see my name on it, but please rest assured ALL the funds go directly to them.  Aloha Always!!
