Kim is a single mom of two young children, bravely battling a rare brain cancer. Until January 2026, she worked as a CNA, passionate and dedicated to caring for others. When her cancer returned, everything changed. Seizures, new tumor growth, swelling, and loss of feeling in her legs made it impossible for her to continue working. She applied for disability after surgery but was denied, and has since appealed. Now, Kim has no income and faces mounting bills, all while caring for her two-month-old baby boy and five-year-old girl.
Kim’s car was totaled through no fault of her own, forcing her to take on new car payments she could once afford. She now struggles to cover rent, utilities, car insurance, household necessities, and frequent travel expenses for treatment at Duke Cancer Center, which is 45 minutes away. She has 12-15 medical appointments each month for chemotherapy, her brain tumor doctor, oncologist, seizure doctor, and blood work—not including appointments for her children.
As her mom, I am heartbroken that I can’t help her financially. Watching her suffer is unbearable, and I knew I had to reach out for help. The struggle is real, and we realize there is no other way. Your help gives us hope. No amount is too small—every donation matters. If you can help, please consider our family and remember Kim’s two innocent babies. She didn’t ask for this life, but she fights every day. Your prayers, your donation, and your kindness can make a difference when it matters most. Please share her story, and may God bless you for your support.
