My name is Fernanda, and I’m writing this with a hopeful heart for someone who means the world to me - my best friend and ex-coworker, Kim Olivarez.

A couple months ago, Kim received the daunting news that she has Breast Cancer (Grade 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma).

Since then, life has been a whirlwind of countless doctor appointments, exams, and uncertainty. Through it all, Kim has shown incredible strength and grace - but the truth is, she’s facing this battle largely on her own.

Kim is a single mom to two beautiful kids, Sophie and Ethan - who are her entire world. She’s always been the kind of person who puts others first: whether it’s her kids, her coworkers, or anyone lucky enough to know her. Now, she needs us.

The financial strain of cancer treatment is overwhelming. Between medical bills, lost income due to sick leave and post op recovery time, and the everyday costs of raising a family, Kim needs our help to keep up.
