The love and support pouring in for Kim and her family during her battle against Breast Cancer has been nothing short of incredible.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve been able to help her through the first stages of treatment. But the reality is: the fight isn’t over. Medical bills keep coming, treatments are ongoing, and as a single mom of two, Kim still has to keep food on the table and a roof over her kids’ heads.
That’s why I am raising our goal to $10,000. Every dollar will help Kim focus on what truly matters, which is healing and being there for Sophie and Ethan without the crushing weight of financial stress.
Every donation, share, and kind word reminds Kim that she’s not alone and that her children are surrounded by a community that cares deeply. Thank you for standing with them.
Hi friends,
My name is Fernanda, and I’m writing this with a hopeful heart for someone who means the world to me - my best friend and ex-coworker, Kim Olivarez.
A couple months ago, Kim received the daunting news that she has Breast Cancer (Grade 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma).
Since then, life has been a whirlwind of countless doctor appointments, exams, and uncertainty. Through it all, Kim has shown incredible strength and grace - but the truth is, she’s facing this battle largely on her own.
Kim is a single mom to two beautiful kids, Sophie and Ethan - who are her entire world. She’s always been the kind of person who puts others first: whether it’s her kids, her coworkers, or anyone lucky enough to know her. Now, she needs us.
The financial strain of cancer treatment is overwhelming. Between medical bills, lost income due to sick leave and post op recovery time, and the everyday costs of raising a family, Kim needs our help to keep up. She’s never been one to ask for help, but I am asking on her behalf because she shouldn’t have to fight this alone. I'm aiming to raise $5,000 to help her with her health insurance deductible.
If you’re able to donate, please know that every dollar will go directly toward helping Kim cover her medical expenses and support her family during this incredibly difficult time. If you cannot give, please share this message.
Your support, whether financial or emotional, means more than you know.
Let’s show our Kim that she’s surrounded by love, and that she has a community behind her every step of the way.
With all my heart,
Fernanda
