Support Kim Nettles' Stroke Recovery Journey

Hi! My name is Kalie Messer and I am the oldest daughter of Kim & Jason Nettles. On August 11th my mom suffered a stroke in her brain stem. Since then she has been hospitalized as they run a multitude of tests to figure out what has caused it. Although she is making progress there are still a lot of questions needing answered. So far the extent of the damage from the stroke has affected her vision, speech, and fine motor skills. She is expected to be released from the hospital soon but is going to need inpatient rehab to help her learn to speak properly again and to also regain her fine motor skills. My mom is uninsured and my goal for this fundraiser is to take some of the financial weight off of my dad since he has now turned into her full time caregiver. With this fundraiser my hope is to make a small dent in her extensive hospital bill, the medicines and devices she will need and most importantly- her rehab. For those of you that do not know my mom she is one of the greatest people to have in your life. She is caring and kind, loves her family, and wants the best for everyone she meets. She deserves the best possible care she can get, and I want my mom back.
