Support Kim Holt’s Fight Against Rare Cancer

We’re reaching out because our dear friend, Kim Holt, needs our help more than ever. Kim, who has always been the one to light up a room with her smile and never knows a stranger, is facing a tough battle ahead. She was recently diagnosed with a rare form of aggressive bile duct cancer that has metastasized to a small portion of her liver and abdominal cavity, and it’s been a shock to us all.

Kim has embarked on a promising, yet challenging, treatment journey down in Clearwater at the Lifeworks Wellness Center. Her treatment is not what most people go through—it includes a mix of low-dose chemotherapy, targeted heat therapy to her liver, and several other innovative therapies like hyperbaric and ozone therapy. These treatments are part of a 10-week program specifically designed to fight her type of cancer.

The path she’s on is hopeful and shows promise, incorporating treatments like a keto diet, high-dose vitamin C IVs, amino acids, and even a special procedure that heats her liver to target the cancer cells directly. These methods are beyond the conventional and represent a beacon of hope for Kim.

Unfortunately, these necessary treatments come with a hefty price tag, none of which is covered by insurance. Between the medical expenses and the cost for Kim's husband, Dutch, to stay with her in Clearwater from Monday to Thursday each week, the total costs are estimated at around $100,000. This is a massive burden that they shouldn’t have to bear alone.

Now, more than ever, Kim needs us—her circle of friends and family. We’ve seen her be there for each of us in countless ways, and now it’s our turn to be there for her.
