Hi, I am Sasha S., daughter of Kim Collins, a beloved self-employed hairstylist and mother of 2. My mom Kim, since the day after Christmas ( for 3 weeks she has now been released), had been in the hospital for pneumonia, which turned into her being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Goodpasture syndrome, a rare autoimmune disorder in which your body mistakenly makes antibodies that attack the lungs and kidneys. As well as finding out the back pain she's experienced for years is a back fracture leading to an osteoporosis diagnosis.

Prior to hospital bills, she has been dealing with debt due to not being able to cut hair during the pandemic and had a landlord at the time who would charge her for rent when she legally wasn't allowed to work in the space. My mom has been through so much and worked so hard to get to a good place financially. She grew up in the projects, experienced homelessness as a young adult, and had her identity stolen by a family member. Kim pays 2 rents for her apartment and her business. Kim was in the hospital for 3 weeks , she was not able to work or make income. With rents due and hospital bills to pay, anything helps! <3
