Support Kim Bertic in Her Fight Against Breast Cancer

Hi everyone,

I'm raising money to help my mom, Kim Bertic, who is not only an incredible, strong, and beautiful woman but also the most amazing mom. Honestly, I don't even know if I have the right words to express how much she means to me. Watching her go through this has been heartbreaking, and I'm doing everything I can to support her.

A few months ago, Kim received the devastating news that she has breast cancer. In just four months, it progressed from stage 0 to stage 1, with aggressive cells that grew far too quickly, though we're grateful it was caught early.

For some context, my mom’s grandmother tragically passed away from stage 4 breast cancer, which devastated my mom's side of the family. Her story reminds us of how important it is to speak up and advocate for early treatment. With my mom’s blessing, I’m sharing her journey to bring awareness and highlight the importance of vigilance when it comes to breast cancer.

The treatments she's undergoing are incredibly intense. She's facing the same kind of chemo called Doxorubicin (known as the Red Devil) that's often used for stage 4 breast cancer, and it's taken such a toll on her physically and emotionally. She's had to stop working full-time because of the exhausting treatments and the long road to recovery ahead.

What's been even harder is seeing the emotional toll this has taken. She's been in unimaginable pain, both physically and mentally, and even lost her beloved cat, Bam Bam, during this time without the funds to give him a proper goodbye. It's been so difficult watching her struggle with everyday expenses like her mortgage, groceries, and medical bills while trying to hold on to her strength.

We're trying to raise $15,000 to help cover her essential living costs - mortgage, utilities, groceries, and the overwhelming medical bills piling up. My hope is that we can take some of the financial weight off her shoulders so she can focus on healing and finding her confidence again.
