Kim Bakayoko's ALS Care, Equipment, & Transportation Needs

My wonderful friend Kim Bakayoko was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in July 2024. It has progressed rapidly; she has already lost a majority of her muscle control and is wheelchair-bound. Kim & her husband recently purchased a van with a wheelchair lift so that she would be able to get to doctor’s appointments, physical & speech therapy, etc.

She is also needing to hire a part-time caregiver, and specialized equipment. Sadly, the need for more help and equipment will only increase as this terrible fatal disease progresses.

Kim is such a wonderful, welcoming, and kind person; she truly is an inspiration as she faces each day with her positive attitude and strong faith.
