Support Kim and Jeff’s Kidney Transplant Journey

Donation protected
Jeff was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2006 at the age of 17. At the time, he was a healthy, active teen who loved sports, especially football. That diagnosis changed everything, but he did his best to adapt, stay active, and live a full life.

Now, nearly two decades later, he’s been diagnosed with end-stage renal failure—a result of years managing diabetes. Living with Chronic Kidney Disease has taken a serious toll on his health, energy, and his quality of life.

Jeff and Kim are anxiously awaiting a kidney donor, which will result in (hopefully) a transplant. While this is the hopeful outcome, being out of work will result in another unique set of challenges. Jeff will need to be out of work for a few months, as will Kim, in order to take care of him. Being out of work will be a financial burden, especially as they try to embark on starting a family. Additionally, Kim is a teacher, and the state’s FMLA isn’t very helpful for municipal employees.

Please help Kim and Jeff navigate this difficult time by easing the financial burden of medical costs. They are an amazing couple who are truly selfless and deserve all the help in the world!
