Hello, I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend Kim and her daughter, Aurora, during an incredibly difficult time.

Recently, Kim received the heartbreaking news that her lifelong friend and ex-fiancé, Jimmy, passed away. Though they were no longer together, they remained close friends, and Jimmy was a devoted father to their daughter, Aurora. She adored her dad, and he loved her deeply in return.

I was lucky enough to know Jimmy personally—we met through World of Warcraft, where we spent countless nights playing, laughing, and building a friendship that extended beyond the game. He had an incredible sense of humor, always found a way to lift our spirits, and never gave up—even when life got hard. Despite the personal challenges he faced, Jimmy always made an effort to be present in Aurora’s life. He had his ups and downs, like we all do, but at his core, he was a kind, loving, and dedicated dad.

With the holidays approaching, this loss weighs especially heavy on Aurora. She won’t get to spend another Christmas with her father, and that’s a pain no child should have to face. On top of the emotional toll, Kim and Aurora are now facing financial stress with some personal expenses that they need to cover. 

This fundraiser is to help ease that burden. Your donation will go toward catching up on the house payments and supporting Aurora as she adjusts to life without her dad. Our goal is to make sure she doesn’t have to carry any more weight than she already is — she deserves security, comfort, and space to grieve and heal.
