This morning, our Kilo woke up paralyzed from the waist down. Just yesterday, he was at the dog park being his normal self.

We rushed him to the emergency vet and were told he is in the beginning stages of Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). The only way for him to be able to walk again is to have immediate surgery. Without it, he will be paralyzed from his back legs for the rest of his life.

The surgery is estimated to cost $10,000–$12,000. The sooner we can get him into surgery, the better his chances of recovery.

Kilo is a big part of our family. He’s loving, active, and full of life.
