Roadstone have appealed Tipperary County Council’s decision to refuse planning permission for the proposed biomethane facility at Killough Quarry.
The original refusal highlighted serious concerns about the site, including issues raised by the Health and Safety Authority. Despite this, Roadstone has chosen to proceed with an appeal rather than address these concerns.
Our community group remains fully committed to ensuring our voices are heard. We are now preparing a detailed submission to An Coimisiún Pleanála, but this requires engaging independent experts, placing significant financial pressure on our community.
This is a David vs Goliath situation, with local residents standing up to a major multinational company.
We sincerely thank everyone for their continued support through donations, volunteering, and raising awareness—it is vital to this effort.
⏳ We have 3 weeks to submit our response and will keep the community updated on how to get involved before April 7th.
Thank you for standing with us.
