It’s wild to me how much space in my heart and my life such a small, fluffy creature can occupy. How much happiness she brings us, every single day. How she can provide so much comfort and spark so much joy just from literally sitting in a dustpan. She’s terrified of new people but loooooves to cuddle. She has the spiciest and sweetest personality I’ve ever seen in a cat. She has improved our lives tenfold and we are so thankful for her.

A few days ago, our big fluffy spicy girl got really sick.
We don’t know how, and we don’t know why.
She ended up needing surgery, where the vet found out her intestines were so inflamed that they’ve stopped moving anything in our out. Since then, she’s gotten progressively worse, and developed a very high fever that just won’t break. Instestines still not working. The vet said right now, while we wait on tests, the best thing we can do is supportive care and hope her fever breaks soon, and the inflammation in her guts subsides so they can start working again.

As I write this, we sit at the emergency vet.
Preparing myself to spend thousands of dollars to just make her comfortable. Because they don’t have any answers yet. And, even if they did, there’s the possibility it could be one of the dozens of feline diseases that have no cure. The only solution is to make them comfortable and hope for the best. To think abuout that breaks my heart. It’s breaking my heart to see her in pain. I would give an arm and a leg to see that spice come back. And I’m confident it will, she’s a fighter. But right now all we want to do is make her comfy.

It’s very difficult for us to be asking anyone for money. In any situation, really. But, there comes a time to swallow your pride and put what really matters first. Our little fluffy family always comes first.
Thank you in advance for your support. Anything that is donated is incredibly appreciated, no amount is too small. Kiki is forever grateful ❤️
